Do you need to use conditioner?

There has been rumours that if shampoo makes your hair soft and smooth, you don’t have to use conditioner. This is completely and scientifically wrong! ⛔️

Here are 5 reasons why it’s necessary to apply conditioner after shampoo:

💧 Conditioner refortifies the cuticle with a protective coating, allowing the hair to keep growing and not break easily. When the hair is exposed to the outside world, the cuticle, or outer lining, gets damaged until it ultimately breaks. The conditioner fills in those injuries and coats the hair to assist the cuticle.

🌪️ To make your hair more manageable – again, when the scales of the cuticle are lifted, your hair becomes frizzy and rough. By conditioning your hair, you flatten these scales and prevent breakage due to tangles and knots.

✨To restore shine to your hair. When the cuticle is smooth, it reflects light instead of absorbing it, which makes your hair look shinny and healthy.

💦 To moisturize your hair. A good conditioner seals in moisture into the hair shaft.

🌈 To create a protective film on your hair shaft.

The right way to use conditioner is to apply the product in long, fluid motions, and to ensure you squeeze some of the water out of your strands after shampooing so that it doesn't diminish the effects of the conditioner.

Though it may seem like a purely cosmetic treatment, daily conditioner is a must have for all hair types to help maintain healthy and strong hair🤎
